INSTRUCTORS

Tony Duke of Vitalyz leads activity sessions for Different Strokes Portsmouth

Our original professional Exercise Instructor was:

TONY DUKE of Vitalyz Ltd; he is a Member of REP's (level 3), MIHPE, physical activity instructor, trainer and Consultant for health and social care sector, and a GP Exercise Referral Consultant.

It is with great pleasure that we Highly Recommend the services of Vitalyz Ltd. Tony and his wife Zoe helped us enormously in the expansion of our Group; from its early days of struggle to becoming a genuine 'Going Concern'.

"Thank You Tony and Zoe, from the bottom of our hearts".

Claire alternates exercise sessions with Tony Duke

Our current, excellent 'seated-exercise' and gymnasium instructors are:

CLAIRE WARBURTON (of Parkwood Leisure), who is a Gym Instructor Level 2, a Personnal trainer Level 3,

a GP Referral Consultant Level 3, and

holds a Sports Massage Level 2 qualification.

And...

SARAH WHITELOCK (of Parkwood Leisure)                       (Awaiting pic)

Mary is our regular swimming exercise instructor;also providing support in the water.

MARY ARROWSMITH (freelance instructor) , is our Swimming Instructor and 'life-guard' at the Fareham Leisure Centre venue. Mary holds the Advanced Teachers Certificate for Swimming and also the ASA Teachers Certificate for Swimming.

In addition to her regular swimming-school work; Mary has at least two years experience working with Stroke survivors and works with us in the pool (one-to-one if needed). We have benefitted greatly from that.

Swimming and exercising in water is very beneficial. Especially-so, in its buoyancy-effect releaving the strain on joints, ligaments and muscles. Of course there are the more obvious cardio-vascular benefits from participation in all of this.

LEE BALDWIN (of Parkwood Leisure), is our Swimming Instructor and 'life-guard at the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth.
